Internships & Jobs

Internship Requirement

To gain real-world experience, information technology majors must complete a campus-approved IT internship (IT 4790), totaling at least 280 hours. As part of the experience, you’ll prepare reports about your work, and your employer will also provide evaluations.

You are strongly encouraged to begin searching for an internship as early as possible, as securing one can take time and delays may impact timely graduation.

To enroll in IT 4790, you must have completed at least 15 credit hours of IT coursework and must obtain instructor approval.

As part of the required 15 credit hours, the following courses must be completed:

  • IT 1430 – Introduction to Web Design
  • IT 2333 – IT Infrastructure
  • IT 2430 – Computer Programming I

Please note that IT 4790 is a 3-credit course and is subject to standard tuition and fees.
